"We bought this car for the gas mileage...Which it does get great gas mileage...I LOVED my car UNTIL the transmission started slipping...It has gone in for all the updates and is now "Shuttering" even more than before..Service Department says they can't fix something that isn't a problem...I no longer feel comfortable in my car as I'm afraid the transmission will totallly fail and leave me stranded on the highway. Can't take it back to the service department becuase there is no problem. Ford acknowledges the Shutter but won't do anything about it. I used to absolutely love my car and now....I could leave it at the service department! We bought for mileage and reliability and now feel as though we have purchased a disposable vehicle. I asked what would happen if we traded it in with this shutter....He informed me that the trade in guys would think the shutter was normal and it wouldn't affect thetrade in value....sure!!! I'm all for that class action suit...If they don't want to make it right...It will be the last Ford we ever buy and that says alot as that is all we have ever bought!!!"

What a disappointment!

"Bought this car in September when Ford were doing a promotion. Traded in a Kuga Titanium as it was nearing the end of its 3 year warranty. What a disappointment! The driver seating position is a Health and Safety issue if you are not very tall and I have to have the seat so far forward to reach the pedals that the steering wheel is touching my body. The fuel consumption is 44mpg for a 1.4 litre engine (the Kuga managed at least 42mpg and was a 2 litre engine) so also a disappointment for such a small car. I live in a rural area and the roads are not in the best condition but the wheels on this car seem to buckle at the slightest sign of an uneven road and the ride is not comfortable at all. There is no spare wheel just a puncture repair kit which doesn?t fill me with confidence when returning home along a dark country lane in areas of the Hampshire/Wiltshire border with little or no mobile phone signal. The slope of the windscreen is such that when the Sat Nav is on at night (we have a removeable one) the screen of the Sat Nav reflects in the windscreen-very off-putting when driving. The only positive factor about this car is that it is much easier to manoeuvre, around the very small car park at my place of work, than the Kuga was-sadly, that?s the only thing going for it!"

"I have had my car since March of 2012, mileage best I have ever had, of course if I did not have a heavy foot it would be even better. If I keep my speed on the highway between 55 and 60, I get 50 MPG, otherwise 40. Best part is that it holds the road as good as a more expensive vehicle. Very happy with this car."

Trans Slippage/Vibration: Dealer Doesn't Care

"I have had a vibration/transmission slippage since the car was 10 months old. Now bear in mind that I do not use the car for 6 months of the year. And I have another Fiesta on the East Coast. The one I bought at Huntington Beach Ford has horrendous slippage from stop to 1st shift point, from 1st shift point to 2nd shift point and sometimes in the 3rd shift point. The transmission specialist at Huntington Beach Ford acknowledged it but said he couldn't do anything with it unless Ford themselves admits to it. This is ridiculous. The problem is getting worse and Huntington Beach Ford should fix it. They won't. Please advise if you are experiencing this problem. We may have a class action under the lemon law. I am not pleased with the results I am getting in having Huntington Beach Ford address the matter. I would not recommend them or Ford until they address this matter."

"I bought this car brand new in September. The first 2 months of driving it have been wonderful. I especially love the gas mileage. I am getting a steady 36 mpg and I hardly do any straight highway driving. The seats are super comfortable. And since I didn't have a car with electric windows/locks, I am certainly enjoying that aspect. I know it will see like a little thing, but I also really like the windshield wipers--the levels of delay and the quality of the wipers work wonderfully. I also like the sync my ride feature. It may not have a super get up and go, but the drive is smooth and I enjoy going to my car every day."

"Overall I'm very happy. Much better looking than the fit. Very little road sound, much like a much more expensive car. I like the leather seats. Two flaws. Due to car sloping forward, poor visibility over the right shoulder. The other: give other cars a lot of space because the acceleration is poor. Engine is pretty weak, but I never go over 75 anyway. But I really like the vehicle, and the fact that Ford didn't take our tax money clinched it."

"This car was purchased new way under the price as others dealerships. The car ran quiet, no road noise, and gets very good gas mileage. I'm very pleased with my car and would recommend it for people who don't want to spend a lot of money for a car."

"I bought the base S version for my daughter a few months ago, and have driven it a good bit myself. Overall, it has been a great product, exceptionally quiet for such a small vehicle. Even the base sound system and electronics are very good. The automatic slips INTENTIONALLY at idle, which is a mileage-design feature. This takes a little getting used to. We have gotten an honest 41 MPG on the Interstate, which beats the EPA highway estimate slightly. For a lot less money than a Hybrid, it is very economical to operate. I love the capless gas filler. The seats have a solid, firm feel, which I prefer."
